ALBAWABA - Joy Najem, the wife of Assi Rahbani, "son" of the late composer Ziad Rahbani, suffered a sudden heart attack, Lebanese media confirmed on Tuesday.
Joy shared a story on her Instagram account revealing that she had suffered a heart attack, showing her lying in a hospital bed.
Assi is the son of Dalal Karam, who was Ziad Rahbani's wife in the late 70s. They married in 1979, after a love story that began during their theatrical work in the play "Mais Al-Reem."

In a controversial move, the late Ziad Rahbani filed a lawsuit in 2004 to deny Assi's paternity, demanding proof that the child was not his biological son.
However, DNA tests revealed that Assi was not Ziad's biological son, which legally confirmed the result. However, the relationship between the two never completely ruptured; instead, it witnessed moments of friendship, and he attended Ziad's funeral with his wife.
