According to the Kuwaiti based daily, Al Qabas, Assi had previously announced that he expects his new album to find success due to the fact that it is diverse in terms of style and selection of songs. Today, the singer will hold a live concert in Egypt in celebration of the new release. The singer will perform a number of his new songs to the Egyptian audience that holds a special appreciation for his music.

The new summer release hit stores on July 21, 2003 witnessing record breaking sales in a number of Arab countries. His new album is a collection of 12 new songs sung in the Lebanese and Bedouin accents, a style that the singer had refrained from singing in his previous album. Assi stressed that his release is revolutionary in the type of music it contains. The singer is sure that the songs chosen for the album will prove to be a big success among his viewers, in which he used modernized musical and singing techniques.

Assi worked with a selected group of distributors, composers and poets for his album, which he felt were most fit for the success he hopes to achieve. The songs were recorded between Turkey, Egypt and Lebanon.

The singer was recently in Turkey where he filmed his latest music video for the song "Ghali" (Precious) from his new album, under the direction of Saeed Al Marouq in their second working experience.–Albawaba.com
