While Season 3 contenders are busy battling it out for the Arab Idol title this month, two former contestants have been fighting a battle of their own off-stage!

Arab Idol 2 winner Mohammed Assaf has been fighting to keep his reputation clean, after the Season 1 runner-up Dounia Batma accused the superstar of being "conceited, full of himself and unappreciative of those that had supported him at the start of his career." Are you sure we're talking about the same Assaf here?

The accusations were nothing short of shocking of course, seeing as the megastar - who quickly shot to international fame after becoming the first Palestinian person to ever claim this title - is distinctly known for his humble, giving and down-to-earth personality.

But the Moroccan singer wasn't about to get away with her out-of-place remarks! Assaf declared it evident that his success irritates Dounia, while responding to her with: "I can't imagine that such statements were made about me, by you. At the end of the day, I've only met you once in my entire life, so why would you hold so much hatred for me? Why are you so spiteful?," reports Laha Magazine.

Mohammed wondered, "She entered the entertainment world before me, what have I done wrong?!"

Despite everything, Assaf told Dounia: "I wish you success and to be content with what you present as an artist. If you want to start making inappropriate remarks about me, I will not answer you back. And I will only say 'may God be with you.'"

There really isn't a bad bone in Assaf's body!

As for us, we dedicate the singer's latest song lyrics, from his first ever album "ASSAF," which launched last night, to the Dounia-drama: "It's not really worth it, I'm tired of thinking and now it's time for me to rest."
