Asala joined Egyptian celebs by congratulating Al Sisi on winning Egypt’s Presidential elections last week.
The Syrian starlet tweeted an official congratulatory message saying: “Good morning and a thousand congrats to Egypt on its new president, who we know will be a protective father and will take Egypt back to the way it used to be.”
According to Elaph news, despite making a point to congratulate Egypt on Al Sisi’s win, Asala completely neglected making a mention of the presidential elections taking place in her own country, Syria.
This came as a surprise to her fans, who have gotten used to an outspoken Asala. In the past, the singer publicly voiced her support for the Syrian revolution, and her opposition to what Bashar Al Assad is doing to Syria.
