Asala sings for victory in October

Syrian singer Asala Nasri stood alongside Egyptian singers to participate in an opera entitled “Roh El Watan” (The Country’s Soul). The wordings are written by poet Baha Jaheen and composed by Amir Abed Al Majeed and distributed by Yehya Al Moji.


 The opera was sung after President Husni Mubarak speech in remembrance of 6th October. Right after the president finished his speech the chorus of singers began the opera honoring the memory of the October war that Egypt won against their enemy. Egyptian singers Ali Al Hajar and Muhammad Al Hilo sang with Asalah and the production was done by her husband Tareq Al Aryan will produce it.


 
According to the London daily Elaph, poet Baha Jaheen is proud to be part of this wonderful project. This is also his second time to participate in the October event. Begore the performance by Angham, Ali Al Hajar and Muhammad Al Hilo also, and a number of other singers joined like: Angham, Shireen, Ehab Tawfiq and Khaled Salim.


 Jaheen adds that the new project returns the soul of October 6th War, and it represented a wonderful accomplishment in the history of the Egyptian people when different social classes all stood side by side to fight and gain their land back. They found out that they had to react and nothing comes by wishful thinking. The Egyptian army back then entered Suez Canal and gained it back from the Israeli army.
