It became her first number one single and the song most identified with her.

Ariana Grande shared some of the intimate details of her life since releasing the massively popular breakup single on Sunday.

The 26-year-old pop star delved into being alone and seeking therapy for help, though she still didn't have a model for a successful personal life.

'Happy birthday "thank u, next,"' she tweeted.

'I can’t believe i’ve spent more time alone this year than i have in my life, i can’t believe how many sessions w my therapist i’ve had, how many times i’ve sung this song, how much i’ve learned and healed, how much i still have to learn and heal!'

Despite all the alone time following her breakup with fiancé Pete Davidson, Ariana struck up a relationship with Social House member Mikey Foster this summer.

it’s been one hall of a productive, emotional, wild and yet ... happy! year,' she continued.

'thankful for my babies who have provided me with endless strength, energy and inspiration... and to my friends who have held me together on the road and at home. i’m sure they’re just as exhausted lmao.'

On Saturday, Ariana tweeted that she was about to begin the final leg of her tour starting this weekend, so she's likely to be battling exhaustion a little longer.

In November of last year, the 7 Rings singer got real about therapy after a fan joked about wanting whatever she was having.

'lmaoaoo this is funny as f*** but in all honesty therapy has saved my life so many times,' she responded.

'if you’re afraid to ask for help, don’t be. u don’t have to be in constant pain & u can process trauma. i’ve got a lot of work to do but it’s a start to even be aware that it’s possible.'

Ariana didn't specifically mention what traumas she was dealing with in her most recent tweet thread, but she's experienced multiple tragedies in the last two years.

On May 22, just after she had wrapped up a concert in Manchester, England, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in the entrance area of the Manchester arena, killing 23 people and injuring more than 500 others.

In her cover feature for Vogue this summer, she spoke about the tragedy, though in guarded terms.

'It's not my trauma. It's those families',' she said.

'It's their losses, and so it's hard to just let it all out without thinking about them reading this and reopening the memory for them.'

Ariana suffered a more personal tragedy in early September 2018, when her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died of an accidental drug overdose.
