In the past few hours, news of Nicki Minaj following Zimbabwean Mufti Ismail Ibn Musa Menk on Twitter went viral on social media.
Fans made sure of the validity of the news by recording a video of the mufti's Twitter account's following list, to find Nicki Minaj one of them.

It came as a shock that the Anaconda star follows a Muslim mufti, as everything she does is contradictory to Islamic teachings.
News of Minaj reached Mufti Menk himself and prompted him to comment.
Mufti Ismail posted a video on his official YouTube channel to respond to the buzz, titling it "Nicki Minaj Follows Mufti Menk! So what?"
In his comments, the Shaikh said: "Alhamdullah, if someone wants to follow you or me or anyone in order to learn a thing or two, not everyone who follows you agrees with you. Some people follow you because they disagree with you and just want to see what you do."
