Arab celebrities mourned the shocking death of Jordanian pilot Mou'ath al-Kasasbeh, who was being held hostage by ISIS since December.
A video of Al-Kasasbeh burning to death at the hands of ISIS was released on Tuesday, while official Jordanian sources confirmed that the tragic scene was filmed on January 3, 2015.
Stars from all over the region joined thousands of grieving civilians in praying for the deceased. Celebs took time out from their busy schedules and onto their social media accounts to mourn the unfortunate murder of the "brave pilot."
Lebanon's sweetheart Nancy Ajram tweeted, "God bless the soul of Jordanian pilot Mou'ath al-Kasasbeh. May his parents be granted patience and may God protect Jordan."
Fellow Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama paid his condolences on Facebook, "May the brave pilot Mou'ath al-Kasasbeh rest in peace. May his parents, country, king and queen have patience. Death for all terrorists... wait for the Jordanian army's revenge on those terrorists."
He added on Twitter, "I don't think executing Sajida will heal the internal anger (for ISIS) that people and Jordanians are feeling."
Sajida al-Rishawi is an ISIS Jihadist, who's been held captive by Jordanian authorities since 2005 for taking part in the Amman hotel bombings.
Meanwhile, Lebanese superstar Elissa made a brave statement on Facebook saying, "So sad to hear about the Jordanian pilot Moaz Al Kasasbe! He is a true hero who tried to defend us all against these terrorists... So sad to witness in this century such atrocities from groups who have nothing to do with Islam! Terrorists who should be stopped in any way."
Lebanese actress and singer Nicole Saba was equally distressed by the news, and wrote on Facebook, "What religion and what humanity drives one human being to burn another. Where do we live and who with? May the hero martyr Mou'ath al-Kasasbeh rest in peace and may his family be granted patience. My condolences to the Jordanian people."
A devastated Assala wrote a series of tweets saying, "I just heard what happened to pilot Mou'ath al-Kasasbeh. I can't believe how beastly and inhumane this is, I swear even beasts never seize to surprise you. They're so ugly.
"I wish I could hug hero Mou'ath's mum and dad right now and cry together until there are no more tears to shed. Mou'ath doesn't only represent himself, he represents many more martyrs like himself. I'm terribly saddened by his death."
