The winners of "Arab Casting" have finally been announced on Saturday night.
Moroccan young actress Jihane Khalil claimed the title of "Best Actress" (with 83% of the vote) in the unique talent competition, which saw aspiring actors and actresses play out a series of sketches in front of celebrity judges Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek, Syrian actors Qusai Khouli and Basel Khayyat, and Lebanese actress Carmen Lebbos.
Jihane beat three other actresses in the two-hour finale. She was visibly over the moon with her win, and later on Instagram thanked “all journalists and artists” who voted for her and to “the delegation of the Moroccan Embassy that was present at the finale.”
Meanwhile, Algerian actor Zoubir Belhor won the award for "Best Actor," beating four male competitors in the finale with 82% of the vote.
The winners were chosen by the viewers watching at home, the live studio audience and the judges.
“Arab Casting” winners have now been granted the opportunity to sign a contract with Clackets Production company as part of their Grand Prize.
Riad Ennajar, Director of Clackets, said Jihane and Belhor will participate in the next series produced by them, as well as the following two series, where each of them will have a role.
