Days after Egyptian singer Angham signed her contract with the Music Production Company Rotana, producer Muhsin Jaber owner of her previous production company Alam El Phan dropped an unexpected bombshell threatening to take legal actions against her. Muhsin claimed that the contract his company had with Angham had not ended to allow her to sign a new contract.

Muhsin stressed that he will take legal actions against the singer demanding that all his legal rights, according to their contract are met or at least compensated financially. Muhsin added that Angham has committed fraud by signing a contract with Rotana not notifying them that her previous contract had not ended.

The contract between Angham and Alam El Phan states specifically that the singer must submit at least three albums, and she had only released two, meaning that the company after being compensated will still have rights over the singer’s third album when it is produced.

Angham has completely broken her contract with her Alam El Phan and signed a new contract with Rotana for three years. An official from Rotana held negotiations with Angham and both sides came to a mutual agreement and signed the contract in Egypt. The singer is hopeful that joining Rotana will add to her music career and she will benefit from her experience.

Angham has recently completed recording the remix of one of the classical songs by the late Saudi singer Talal Madah "Tusadik Wila Ahliflak" (Do You Believe me or Shall I swear to You), which was written by prominent Saudi poet Abraham Khafaji and composed by the late singer himself. Angham stressed that Tala's music is considered one of the jewels of true Arabic music, which is the main reason she has repeatedly sung a number of his songs.

Angham revealed that she will include the song and another by Talal in her upcoming album. It was added that Angham's voice is the only female voice that has sung songs for some of the most prominent gulf singers like Talal, Mohammad Abdo, and others.

Angham has denied circulating rumors that she will portray the life of late Singer Thikra in a movie telling her life story, stressing that the role was never offered to her and even if it were she would not accept it. Rumors also stated that Egyptian actor Khaled Alnabawi will play the role of Thikra’s husband, Aiman Alsweidi. khaled expressed his acceptance to accept the role if it was offered to him on one condition that the script will work to serve a good cause.

Angham noted that she does not know when the time will come for her to enter the acting world, especially since she is extremely busy at the moment with her singing career that she has no time left for anything else. She added that the thought of acting is on her mind and she will wait for the right moment and the right script to make her debut in, which may suddenly come out of the blue. -Albawaba.com
