ALBAWABA - Angelina Jolie wore a look from over a decade ago to the BFI London Film Festival premiere of her new film Maria on October 18.
Instead of her normal dramatic, opera-inspired design, the actress chose a black three-piece suit from Dolce & Gabbana. This was a departure from her regular style. Jolie layered a fitted suit coat over a blazer with a deep split.
In addition to the jacket and coat, Jolie wore a pair of cigar-style pants that were stylish and thin-cut. She draped these trousers over her high-heeled shoes in a completely relaxed manner. Jolie drew inspiration for her style not only from the opposite sex but also from the menswear collection at Dolce & Gabbana. The other sex inspired Jolie's appearance, even though it's not a novel concept for women to wear menswear-inspired suits on the red carpet.
Jolie's appearance today brought back thoughts of another stunning look she donned on the red carpet in London more than a decade ago. This style was identical to the one she wore in the past. In contrast to the typical glittering dresses, she chose to wear conservative office-inspired outfits to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards in 2014, much as she does now.
On Friday, Angelina walked the red carpet with director Pablo Larrain and co-star Alba Rohrwacher, accompanied by the actress.
In this passage, Angelina Jolie expressed her deep affection for the director Pablo and the way he approaches his job. She also said that the chance to play the role of "Maria" presented her with a challenge. She acknowledged that she initially felt anxious because she takes the role of actual people extremely seriously. She went on to say that the singing challenge elevated her exhilaration despite the fact that she was initially anxious.
Select theaters throughout the United States will release the film Maria on November 27, 2024, and Netflix will make it available for streaming on December 11, 2024. In the future, theaters in Italy will release it on January 1, 2025, followed by the United Kingdom and Ireland on January 10, and Germany on February 6.
