Egyptian pop-star Amr Diab has denied recent circulating rumors that a dispute has occurred between him and prominent Egyptian actress Faten Hamama, and that he turned down a dinner invitation from her. The singer stressed that he never received an invitation from Faten and that if he had, he would not turn it down and would have been the first guest to arrive.

About his disputes with producer Mohsen Gaber, Amr said that all disputes have been solved without any legal procedures and that he is happy being with Rotana. Amr said that his ambition is to win one of the world music prizes like Grammy or MTV Award and that would be easier now after opening the competitions to include all singers in the world.

Diab was recently in Lebanon to participate in the Tripoli International Music Festival where he held a concert that proved to be a great success. Amr was asked about his absence during the summer and he simply answered that he was not invited to participate in any of the events that took place in Lebanon.

Amr stressed that he does not know the reason from excluding him from the events that took place during the summer and added that if he was invited he would have come with any hesitation. According to the London based daily, Dar Al Hayat, Amr revealed that he is currently preparing to shoot a new commercial for Pepsi alongside International singers Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguillera.

Amr noted that he will use some of the scenes from the new commercial in his upcoming music video, just as American singer Britney Spears did in her last ad with him and Enrique Iglesias. –Albawaba.com
