Tunisian singer Amani Al Swaisi recently filmed a video clip for her song “Ween” (Where), which holds the same name as her album. This is the second video clip she has filmed for the album.
“Ween” (where) was written by Faris Alexander, composed by Salim Salameh and distributed by Hadi Shararah.
The clip was directed by Mirna Al Khayat Abu Al Yas from Lebanon. The clip is somber and takes place in a village in Lebanon. Amani’s lover has his suitcase packed, and he is ready to leave his love behind.
Director Al Yas explained her style in working with the Tunisian singer, she had Amani sit close to her lover, feeling despair, yet she does not have the ability to do or say anything. Amani has a romantic face, which helped make the clip a success, said Al Yas.
According to the London daily Elaph, after winning the “Star Academy” talent show, Amani proved her acting abilities in the play “Al Mutanbi,” also starring Osama Al Rahabni.
Al Yas said that she was very pleased to work with Amani, and that she and the crew were moved by Amani’s emotion in the scenes.
