Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi is scheduled to hold a live concert July 2, 2003 at the Union Club in Halab Syria, and the invitation is open for the general public. Amal's performance is among many that will take place featuring some of the brightest names in the music world.
According to the London based Elaph, Amal's outdoor concert will include singing alongside singer Wadah Shalabi. The singer has expressed her joy at having the chance to sing to the Syrian audience, saying that she will put all her power in presenting them with an unforgettable evening, in which she will sing most of her latest releases.
During the filming of a new music video Hijazi received a surprised visit from the contestants of the show “Superstar” that is aired on the Lebanese satellite channel future. Amal’s guest stayed with her for over 5 hours inquiring about her techniques and her career.
The Superstars contestant watched Amal while filming the video clip under the direction of Mirna Abu El Yas and were fascinated every minute of the way. Some of the questions Amal was asked is how being famous had changed her life and whether the change was positive or negative.
Amal talked freely to everyone answering all their questions and gave them tips on how to give better performances. She wished her guests the best of luck and assured them that if they put their minds into their singing they will go a long way.
Her album "Zaman" has gone beyond expectations in the number of breaking figures in the music market all over the world. The twelve-song album, produced by Universal Company in Paris, held two major surprises, the first, her duet with Fuedel, written by Fuedel and Tony Abi Karam, and the second with the duo Omar and Rafi.
