After being bailed out of a dismal jail, the Egyptian singer Mohammed Al Hilo is returning to his audience with a new album of eight songs including Ya Ibni (My Son), according to the Qatari daily Al Raya.

The song is about Mohammed Ad Durrah, the 12-year-old boy shot dead in his father’s arms by an Israeli soldier. The lyrics were written by Mohammed Fadhel and the tune composed by Muddather Abu Al Wafa.

Hilo has not yet set a date for the release of the album, which he considers a token of reconciliation with his fans.

The last album for Hilo was the highly acclaimed Ya Fatinah (Oh Charming) - Albawaba.com
