Ahmed Zaki may have a chance to play a Muslim cleric, if the late man’s family agrees to a proposed new series.
Screenwriter Medhat Al Adel is still waiting for the late Shaeikh Shaarawi’s family to respond to his proposal for a work on the Muslim cleric’s life.
“I hope we’ll soon reach an agreement with Shaarawi’s family, which is still hesitating about the series. We are ready to present the screenplay to them for any amendments or omissions,” Adel told Akhbar Annujum magazine.
“I have obtained the agreement of Ahmed Zaki to star in the role, and we have nominated three directors for the series, including Mohammed Fadhel, Ena’m Mohammed Ali and Yahya Al A’lami. We have allocated an unlimited budget to the series, which should enable us to provide a great piece of work,’’ he added - Albawaba.com
