Egyptian film Maali Al Wazeer (His Excellency, the Minister) is about the life history of Abdel Hakim Amer, the former Egyptian Defense Minister during the tenure of the late president Gamal Abdel Naser.
Film star Ahmed Zaki and writer Wahid Hamed currently hold frequent meetings to gear up for the film to be directed by Sherif Arafeh.
The film is the first of its type to be produced by the Media Production City Company headed by the Cinema Association Chief, Mamdouh Al Laithi, who allocated a hefty budget for the film production.
