Despite the critical health condition of prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki, an agreement was reached with the actor to begin filming scenes for both films “Al Andaleeb” and “Rasa’l Bahr” simultaneously. A medical team is expected to accompany the actor on both sets to ensure that his health remains stable and is not subjected (by the films' producers) to any physically demanding excercises.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, the production company of both films had set a very precise schedule for the shooting of all scenes. Zaki will shoot many of the scenes for “Rasa’l Bahr” during the first three weeks of December while he is in Alexandria. Writer Mamdouh Abdul Rahim will is expected to put this time to good to use by working on the final touches on the script of “Al Andaleeb” based on the requests of director Sharif Arafeh.
After that, flip-floping between both shoots is planned for the now physicaly-able actor.
Director Dawood Abdul Al Said has nominated Lebanese singer/performer Haifa Wahbi for the leading role alongside Zaki in his film “Rasa’el Al Bahr”. Wahbi, who has initially accepted the role, has expressed her honor at opportunity of debuting as an actress alongside Zaki. The director has also chosen the Egyptian Olympic wrestling gold medalist Karam Jaber for a part in the film - also marking the athletes debut on the big screen.
The actor has been very persistent on shooting and eventually releasing the films in the quickest time possible. He is expected to play the role of the late music icon - Abdul Halim Hafez - in one of the upcoming releases. - Albawaba.com
