She may have been criticized in the Arab press and lost fans over her fiercesome Twitter tongue but that hasn't made songstress, Ahlam, hold back. Just before the holiday season began, the UAE star called fellow crooner, Dominique Hourani, a 'singer of discos'. Dominique is a well-loved star back in her home country of Lebanon and one national newspaper decided to hit back.
Lebanese journalist, Roula Nasr, alleged that Ahlam had made statements attacking Jews and Christians, saying "they will all go to hell". The explosive Emirati wasn't going to take these allegation lying down and took to her Twitter account once again to express her thoughts on the matter:
“Roula you jerk and worshipper of money I wish you would die and it is obvious you are being paid to write such crap by lowlifes and for services you are giving those lowlifes,” she wrote, adding: “I write this last statement before I log off to go shopping but of course using my own hard earned money and not money given by jerks that are involved in scandals.”
Now it looks like Ahlam's social media snipes may have finally landed her in hot water as fellow journalists are trying to encourage Roula to sue the UAE star for the insults. Lebanese countrywoman and hack, Nidal Al Ahmadi, wrote on her Twitter page that she is willing to cover all legal expenses as long as Ahlam is prosecuted. Perhaps Ahlam's next holiday will be spent behind bars?
