Prominent Egyptian actress Abla Kamel has announced that recent circulating rumors of her intent to resign her acting career are not true. The actress stressed that her turning down an offer in a film does not imply she wants to quit her career.
Abla said that she refuses to sign any new contract until she completes filming her scenes in her new television drama. She added that she wants to concentrate her efforts on the drama and not have her time divided by so many projects at one time.
Abla stated that acting is part of her life and runs in her blood. She added that she wore the Islamic headdress Hijab several years ago and kept presenting different works that showed her in very respectable manners.
The actress stressed that acting is what makes her happy and gives her life meaning, therefore she does not consider giving it up at any cost.
Recently, different news sources reported that Egyptian producer Ahmad Al Sabhi had said that Abla had turned down a leading role in one of his films due to the fact that she intends on resigning from her acting career.
