The Egyptian satellite channel ‘Al Hayat’ will pay every ‘Megastar’ 100,000 dollars for appearing as a guest on the channel.
The first megastar on the list is Egyptian comedian Adel Imam. He has recorded three episodes for the channel, discussing his career.
Other famous Egyptian celebrities will make appearances, like the singer Muhammad Munir, who rarely appears in the media, superstar Amr Diab, and the actor Omar Al Sharif.
According to the Saudi daily Al Hayat, ‘Superstar’ celebrities will be paid between 20-50,000 dollars to appear as a guest.
The costs will be difficult for the new the channel, but they want to compete with other satellite channels that are increasing their payments daily.
Other well-known satellite channels have called the payments “outrageous,” because it’s getting hard for them to invite celebrities who are increasing their demands.
