A Lebanese judge ruled on May 30th 2008 that the music production company ‘Rotana’ cancel the contract between Nidal Halhel and the company that was originally signed on July 25, 2001. Rotana was ordered to pay the artist Nidal Halhel US$100,000 as well court costs.
According to the London daily Elaph, the disagreement between Rotana and Nidal Halhel began when the company would not produce the second album for Nidal or pay the poets and composers that worked on the new album.
