The pop hero story is the axis of the new 25-episode Syrian series Amwaj (Waves) which director Essam Mousa shot at more than 60 sites between the mountains and the sea.
“The series constitutes a number of ideas and stories in which I attempted to present new things particularly in view of the fact the series included a variety of pictures with some of them shot for the first time under water. I also tried to review the structure of the drama characters scripted by the writer. The series depends on diversity of places and topics which needs music and other things in addition to using the song for the benefit of drama rather than at its expense,” said the director.
Samar Kokash plays a starring role in the series as the dolphin’s daughter who has phobia due to her domineering father and dreams of getting married to any young man after her fiancée sinks in the sea. Costarring also in the film are Fadia Khattab and Hani al Roumani who plays the role as dolphin. Dolphin is a rich fish merchant and his main objective is to lead fishermen in the port. This is in addition to Abdel Rahman Abu al Qasem who plays the role as an old knight (land and sea lover) -- Albawaba.com
