ENOC hosts world’s first Insurance ATMS by AFNIC at ten petrol stations

Insuring motor vehicles, obtaining insurance certificates and policies, renewing RTA registration certificates and paying RTA fines can all be completed with the convenience of an ATM transaction through the Insurance ATM, a revolutionary and world-first service by Al Fujairah National Insurance Company (AFNIC) at ENOC/EPPCO service stations.
ENOC has joined hands with AFNIC, a leading insurance provider, to host the first-ever ‘Insurance ATMs’, possibly a first in the world, at ten selected ENOC/EPPCO service stations in Dubai.
A groundbreaking initiative, the Insurance ATMs function like regular automated teller machines – the difference being that they offer motor vehicle-related insurance services including renewal of insurance and dispensing of insurance certificates and policies on the spot.
AFNIC, a ‘Trusted Agent’ of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), will also provide selected RTA services at the Insurance ATMs for motorists who insure through the company including the provision of paying fines, and obtaining temporary renewal registration certificates.
Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC Chief Executive Officer, said: “ENOC has always been a leader in implementing revolutionary technologies that enhance convenience for motorists. By hosting AFNIC’s world-first Insurance ATMs in our outlets, we have again significantly added value to our service stations and reiterated our leadership in introducing best practices.”
Mr. Antoine Maalouli, the General Manager of AFNIC, said: “The Insurance ATMs are a proud demonstration of our capabilities in integrating modern technologies to offer a superior customer experience. The innovation, conceived and developed in-house, not only offers a safe and secure option for motorists, but also helps them save valuable time and effort normally associated with completing motor insurance formalities. Our RTA ‘Trusted Agent’ status is another value addition for customers, making the Insurance ATMs a “One-Stop Machine” for insurance and selected RTA services.
The Insurance ATMs have an additional customer-friendly feature offering a human touch to technology with AFNIC ATM assistants posted at the stations to help customers.
Similar to bank ATM operations, all activities at the Insurance ATMs are centrally managed by AFNIC’s head office. Customers do not have to visit the office to determine premiums or collect insurance certificates and policies, as these are processed on the spot. Aside from the ATM assistants, customers will also be fully guided through the call centre facilities of AFNIC’s Insurance Control Room.
Motorists only have to present a copy of the vehicle registration certificate (Mulkia); driving licence or trade licence copy; and bring their vehicles to acquire their required service. Those who have personal cars registered under their names and insure under AFNIC’s Comprehensive Insurance Policy, will get a complimentary life insurance coverage of up to AED100,000 as an inaugural promotional offer for the first three months from launching.
Customers who insure their vehicles with AFNIC can also benefit from a range of services including renewal of vehicle registrations and payment of RTA fines, with no additional service charges.
All RTA services are linked online to the RTA portal and the transactions carried out at the Insurance ATMs will be integrated, updated and approved in real time through the RTA system. The RTA receipts and registration certificates are system-generated.
The Insurance ATMs are located in ENOC/EPPOC stations in Al Rasheed (Deira); Ramada Road (near Manhattan Hotel); Al Abraj (behind Rotana Tower Hotel, Sheikh. Zayed Road); Um Ramool (Opposite Al Futtaim Service Centre); Jebel Ali Gardens (near Ibn Batuta Mall); Al Seera (near Zulekha Hospital, Al Ghusais); Al Hashimi (Opp. NMCH Al Nahda; Mirdif (near Mirdif City Centre); Oud Metha Road (Opposite Al Wasl Club); and Al Barsha-2 (Near Lulu Hypermarket).
More locations will be added in the near future. The service will be provided from 8 am to 10 pm daily, including Fridays.
