Emirates Gas supports Linde Challenge for forklift operators to promote safety standards

Emirates Gas has sponsored Linde Challenge, an annual competition for forklift operators in the UAE, held to underscore the importance of the highest professional safety standards and efficiency at work. More than 64 forklift operators from 35 companies took part in the event held recently at the CHEP Pallet Yard in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai.

Organized by Al Futtaim Auto & Machinery Company (FAMCO), and held for the second time in the UAE, the Linde Challenge is designed to test and demonstrate the versatility and productivity of the operators through components like pre-start safety checks, stacking, de-stacking, and manoeuvring within limited space time limits.

Emirates Gas provided prizes to the top ten winners. The top three winners were: Rajendra from Aramex, Jesus Deia Cruz from Hellmann Logistics and Raju Meethale from GAC. The company also provided gifts to all the participants.

At the event, Emirates Gas showcased its recently launched eco-friendly fuel for forklifts - Pro-Power - a cylinder with high-quality propane at the event. Pro-Power is clean burning, with significantly lower emissions and no spillage. It is ideal for hard handling in an industrial environment and is equipped with floating and fixed level gauges, liquid withdrawal tube and safety relief valve.

Through our participation, we also wanted to emphasize on the need for cleaner and energy-efficient strategies, as highlighted through Pro-Power. It addresses environmental challenges, contributes to sustainable development practices and is also more economical,” said Hesham Ali Mustafa, General Manager of Emirates Gas.

Pro-Power prolongs engine life and customers can save through reduced maintenance and life-cycle cost. It also provides versatility in operation since it can be used indoors and outdoors, completing all operations efficiently.
