ALBAWABA - Taking a vacation off of work is something everyone needs and finds important, but for one Chinese woman, it turned into a terrifying experience she never expected and likely will never forget about in her life. A video circulating on social media in China has sparked anger among viewers as it captured a murder attempt at the workplace, all over a vacation.

In the video, a woman wearing a black jacket is seen approaching her colleague's desk. She opens a small bottle and pours something powdery into the drink on the desk before quickly leaving. It was later revealed that she intended to kill her coworker to prevent her from taking maternity leave.

And while the victim sadly didn't originally notice that anything had been done to her drink, she thankfully noticed that her drink tasted strange before it was too late, leading her to suspect something was wrong. After switching to mineral water, the strange taste went away.

With the help of a friend, she decided to use her iPad to check the recording in her office. Shockingly to her, the footage showed that her colleague had truly tampered with her drink in an attempt to poison her.

The accused tried to explain her actions by claiming she didn't want her coworker to take maternity leave vacation, as it would increase her workload. Both the accused and the victim work in the government’s Office of Hydrology and Water Resources Investigations, an organization known for its harsh recruitment process.

So while this is a twisted story, it is one with a happy ending. It shows how had the woman not noticed her drink tasted different, things might have gone for the worst, so someone should always trust their guts in situations like this.
