The Abu Dhabi Police on Tuesday shared a video of a road accident caused by an inattentive driver jumping the red light.

The 25-second video shows several vehicles taking a left turn to enter a main road. The first vehicle, a white sedan, ignores the red light and continues to move ahead. Moments later, a van coming from the right crashes into it. The sedan is badly damaged from the front, while the van can be seen turning over from impact.
The police urged motorists to drive carefully and always pay attention on the road, adding that jumping a red light is punishable by a fine of Dh1,000 and 12 traffic points.
