ALBAWABA A tourist from China, 31-year-old, Huang, met with a tragic fate as she accidentally stepped on her dress and plummeted down a cliff while posing for photographs at a famous volcano in Indonesia.

The incident occurred at Ijen, a volcano tourism park located in the province of East Java.

Huang and her husband were part of a tour group that had ventured to the edge of the crater to witness the famous "blue fire" scenery and the sunrise on April 20, according to the Xiaoxiang Morning Herald.

Standing next to an upright dead tree, which is a well-known landmark often featured in social media posts, Huang posed for her husband to take pictures with the volcano as the backdrop.

Despite warnings from the tour guide regarding the dangerous nature of the spot, Huang ignored the advice. Tragically, her long dress got caught on something, causing her to trip and fall approximately 75 meters down the cliff.

The accident occurred just after 6 a.m., and local rescuers spent two hours searching for Huang. Regrettably, when they found her, she was pronounced dead.

The authorities ruled Huang’s death as an accident, noting that she had suffered multiple injuries and a fractured left leg.

An officer commented on the incident, stating, “The victim fell 75 meters after slipping from the edge of a ravine. She was seriously injured after hitting rocks, and died of severe injuries to her head and body.”
