ALBAWABA Naima Liggon, a 16-year-old girl from Waldorf, Maryland, lost her life in a fatal stabbing that occurred during an altercation over sweet and sour sauce. The incident occurred in the early hours of a Sunday , at McDonald's in Washington.
Liggon was with a group of four individuals who had been to a recreation center, attended a house party, and eventually ended up at the McDonald's on 14th Street NW.
At around 2 am, tragedy struck as an argument between Liggon and another 16-year-old girl escalated into violence. According to reports, Liggon was stabbed twice during this altercation.
After the stabbing, Liggon was rushed to Howard University Hospital but was tragically pronounced dead.
Law enforcement quickly apprehended a suspect, the 16-year-old girl from Waldorf, Maryland, believed to be responsible for the stabbing.
She was found just a block away from the scene and was reportedly in possession of a knife when she was arrested.
According to a detective's testimony in court, the two girls had gone to McDonald's together, ordered food, and then entered a car. The argument that ensued over the sauces they had ordered ultimately resulted in the stabbing.
She alleged that she had been attacked by the victim and another individual, which prompted her to resort to using a knife.
The court, however, ordered her to be held in juvenile detention pending her trial. The tragic circumstances of this case underscore the need for a thorough investigation and legal proceedings to determine the truth and ensure justice is served.
