The decision, announced via the official Starbucks Jordan Instagram account, comes as a response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis resulting from the Israeli occupation forces' actions in Gaza. Since October 7th of the previous year, the region has witnessed a series of devastating events, described by many as a genocide against the Palestinian people.
The official account of Starbucks in Jordan on Instagram indicated that the meals will be provided in cooperation with the charitable organization 'World Central Kitchen.'
The announcement was accompanied by a statement" Starbucks has always been about more than coffee. Alongside World Central Kitchen, we are committed to continue serving those in need. The Starbucks Foundation and Alshaya Starbucks are supporting World Central Kitchen in providing 1 million meals to the people in Gaza"
