The Middle East and the Gulf countries in particular have some of the most extravagant, outlandishly expensive architectural structures in the world. And this includes hotels, so whether you’re genuinely interested in staying at one or you’re just curious, here are the nicest hotels in the Middle East.

Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh – Saudi Arabia

The Nicest Hotels in the Middle East

First up of the nicest hotels in the Middle East is the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Four Seasons is a global hotel chain but the location in Riyadh is one of the largest and most extravagant.

It’s located inside of the iconic 99-floor Kingdom Centre Tower and has rooms designed for royalty. Specifically, the Kingdom Suite is a duplex that spans the 48th and 50th floor of the hotel and can be booked for roughly $10,000 USD a night.

At that price point and suite size it goes without saying that the Kingdom Suite in the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh is absolutely stunning.

Burj Al Arab – UAE

The Nicest Hotels in the Middle East

The Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai is one of if not THE nicest hotel in the Middle East. The “cheapest” room here goes for about $1,200 USD a night and the most expensive room, the Diplomatic Three Bedroom Suite, goes for about $8,564 USD a night.

Whether a night here is worth the exorbitant price or not is a matter of opinion, but one thing that’s for sure is that a lavish experience is guaranteed with your stay.

Personalized private bars, a butler service, Michelin Star restaurants and more are all available to you when staying at the coastal Burj Al Arab hotel.

Al Maha – UAE

Another expensive one in the UAE, Al Maha resort and spa is one of the nicest hotels in the Middle East. It’s designed around combining a Bedouin, Middle Eastern aesthetic with the luxurious lifestyle enjoyed by the wealthier people of the world.

A one-bedroom here costs around $1,400 USD a night and will set you up with a temperature controlled private pool and a gorgeous room. The resort is also located in the desert about 45 minutes outside of Dubai, so beautiful views of sand dunes and desert wildlife are a given.

If money’s not an issue and you want a Middle Eastern experience with your hotel stay then Al Maha is the place to go.

Six Senses Zighy Bay – Oman

The Nicest Hotels in the Middle East

Up next of the nicest hotels in the Middle East is Six Senses Zighy Bay. It’s an oasis of a hotel resort surrounded by barren mountains on one side and the shores of the Gulf of Oman on the other.

For roughly $2,000 USD a night you get to enjoy a rustic but modernly designed one-bedroom that comes with a private wine cellar, private outdoor infinity pool and direct access to the beach.

And if unwinding at your room or the beachfront dining area doesn’t do it for you, Six Senses Zighy Bay offers more exciting activities like paragliding off the surrounding mountains or scuba diving through the nearby coral reefs.
