ALBAWABA - If you're either a fan or just into Astronomy, you likely know it involves keeping an eye on and tracking different space happenings, and one such phenomenon is on its way toward Egypt and the Arab region 2024.
There was a total solar eclipse on the last night of Ramadan, specifically on April 8, 2024. It was a beautiful sight visible across the United States, with the skies darkening for hours. Not many got to see this eclipse, but thankfully this won't be the final event involving the moon this year.
Expected in the year 2024, the second lunar eclipse is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18. This eclipse will be of a partial kind, and it will appear in the skies of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and neighboring Arab countries.

During this lunar eclipse, only 8% of the Moon's surface will fall under the Earth's shadow at its maximum point, resulting in the darkening of part of the Moon's surface. The partial lunar eclipse is set to last for around 1 hour and 3 minutes. It will also be observable across North America, Mexico, Central America, South America, the Atlantic Ocean, and some parts of Europe and Africa.
Besides that, on Wednesday, October 2, the world will witness the year's second and final solar eclipse. This time it will be an annular eclipse, but it won't be visible in Egypt and Saudi Arabia this time around. Instead, observers in the Western Hemisphere will have the chance to see it, though it might be only a few on-land locations where one will be able to observe it.
