Amy Winehouse's heart-shaped Moschino bag has sold for a staggering £151,726 at a charity auction at Julien's in Los Angeles this weekend.

The late singer, who died in 2011, wore the kooky accessory at the Brit Awards back in 2007.

The garment fetched ten times its estimate which was set at £14,820 - and was just one of many items being sold.

Others items that have been included in the auction included a green and black dress which she wore during her last concert in Belgrade in 2011.

Her performance at the Belgrade Tuborg Festival saw the esteemed singer appear disorientated on stage and she was booed off the stage. Her 18-leg European tour was cancelled and she stayed for a week at The Priory clinic.

The soul singer was found dead in her flat in Camden, north London, less than a month later on July 23, 2011, aged just 27.

Naomi Parry, stylist to the songstress who also designed the number has said: 'I feel an immense amount of sadness when I look at that dress. It was supposed to be the start of something new and moving forward. She had been doing so well.'

Other belongings included ballet flats which were estimated to sell for £444 but ended up making £14,224.

Another item was a floral gold Dolce & Gabbana dress, fetched £111,130. She wore the number on stage in Blackpool in 2007.

Non-clothing items include a birthday card signed by Amy's pals Mark, possibly Ronson, and Adele, drawings, drum kit and a Toft Audio Designs series ATB mixing board used by the singer.

The collection has been sold by Amy's family and all proceeds will go towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up by the star's parents Mitch and Janis. The charity supports young people with addiction problems.

The collection will then be sent to London for Amy: Beyond The Stage exhibition at London’s Design Museum from November 26.

Highlight items from the auction will tour around the world, with stops including at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

After this, the items will be sent to the winning bidders in April.
