These videos have captured considerable attention, fueling extensive discussions and debates online. However, CNN has confirmed that these videos are indeed fabricated, with the channel responsible for their dissemination admitting to creating composite footage.
The circulated videos depict scenes purportedly captured at a lake, showcasing fish exhibiting facial features reminiscent of humans. Furthermore, the videos discuss the supposed unveiling of a novel fish species termed "Homo piscis" within a lake situated in the Karanji region.
Subsequent investigations have revealed a lack of credible and adequate information regarding a lake named "Samsara," as well as the alleged fish species "Homo piscis."
Upon closer examination of the circulated footage, it was determined that the original video was initially uploaded on January 18, 2024, on a YouTube channel under the name "Headtap Videos."
The channel proprietor clarified that they engage in experimental video production and design practices, featuring numerous videos that diverge from reality, instead relying on imaginative concepts and digital creations.
