Many users have drawn comparisons between the guardian's appearance and that of King Akhenaten, the ancient Egyptian pharaoh whose tomb he protects.
Under the caption "Akhenaten guards his tomb himself," social media users have pointed out the striking similarities in features between the tomb guardian and King Akhenaten.
The fame of the guardian gained momentum after engineer and Egyptian heritage enthusiast Karim Badr shared photographs he had taken while exploring the royal tombs.
The guardian, known as (Kamel), has become a subject of debate among social media users, surpassing the level of controversy surrounding the Egyptian kings, particularly Akhenaten.
The comparison gained traction as images of the tomb guardian circulated, highlighting the notable resemblance between him and the king whose tomb he watches over.
The story originated with photographer Karim Badr, who captured a series of photographs inside the tomb and took personal portraits of Mr. Kamel.
Upon noticing the likeness between the guardian and the king entombed within, Badr shared images of (Kamel) across his social media platforms.
