A brave police officer was caught on camera clinging to a car bonnet for a mile after the driver tried to avoid a checkpoint.
Footage shows the constable pointing to the driver through the windscreen in the Nangloi area of New Delhi, India.
However, when the driver refuses to cooperate, the officer launches himself onto the bonnet in a bid to halt the car in the clip that surfaced yesterday, according to the Hindustan Times.
As he desperately clings onto the windscreen wipers, the driver does a three-point turn and accelerates up a slip road as people scramble out of the way.
The officer is seen shouting at the man through the shattered windscreen as the driver aggressively gestures him to move out of the way.
The driver appears to disregard the officer's safety as he continues for a mile while the passenger filmed the dramatic footage in November.
Eventually the driver pulled over on the side of the road and drove off.
People on Twitter commented on the footage that was posted on Sunday and which has since been shared more than 4,000 times.
One user commented: 'OMG! Where is this from? That guy must be in jail and never allowed to drive again.'
