ALBAWABA - Two women from New Zealand were left in shock after they were removed from a flight because of their size.

According to Mirror, Angel Harding claimed that she and her friend followed the protocol normally but were later removed from the Air New Zealand flight after the attendant couldn't put the armchair down because they were "too big" for the seats.

She claimed that they kept slamming the armchair down and hitting her arm which hurt. The flight chain later told the two individuals to purchase two seats the next time they wanted to board the plane which left them traumatized.  Additionally, the attendant didn't take no for an answer and added that the plane couldn't fly without the armrest put down.

Angel added that the attendant was "quite aggressive" and while the plane was moving she said "I can get you both kicked off this flight" as Angel's friend tried to negotiate with her.

Despite telling the attendant that they couldn't afford it, both were assisted with wheelchairs outside the plane with the rest of the passengers. The airline later offered them free accommodation, meals, and a free flight back.

An Air New Zealand spokesperson later told News 1:

"We are committed to treating all customers with respect and dignity and we apologise that these customers received an inconsistent experience. We will continue to work with the customer directly to address their concerns."

The spokesperson added that it is important for customers to get in touch with the company before their flight to "ensure a safe and comfortable journey".

Angel later said in the video:

"We’re all humans, we’re all human, and I don’t ever want anyone to go through the trauma that we are going through right now."
