Celebrating Saudi Foundation Day 2024

ABAWABA Saudi Arabia is gearing up to commemorate the country's foundation day on Thursday, February 22, 2024. This significant day has been declared a public holiday, allowing workers and students alike to join in the festivities.

Back in 2022, Saudi Arabia officially designated February 22 as a national holiday to honor the Saudi Founding Day, following a royal order issued by King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture is gearing up to host a series of cultural and historical celebrations across the kingdom from February 21 to 26, in honor of Founding Day, observed annually on February 22.

"The Foundation Nights," taking place on February 21 and 22 at the Abu Bakr Salem Stage in Boulevard City, Riyadh, offer attendees a captivating journey through time. Through poetry and musical performances, participants will be transported back in time to explore the cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia.

Following this, "Symphony of the Beginning" will grace the stage on February 25 and 26, also at the Abu Bakr Salem Stage. This event will feature renowned Saudi poets and the National Orchestra, promising an enchanting blend of music and storytelling.

For those eager to delve deeper into history, "The History Walk" offers an immersive experience.

This parade, showcasing 19 scenes narrating Saudi Arabia’s history from its inception to the present, provides a unique opportunity to witness the nation's journey unfold before their eyes.

As the first day's celebrations draw to a close, attendees can look forward to a mesmerizing musical theatre performance and a dazzling drone show, adding a touch of modernity to the festivities.

Furthermore, "The Founding Village" will be a highlight of the celebrations, set to take place in 14 cities and governorates from February 22 to 24. From Madinah to Jeddah, this event promises immersive experiences that bring to life the Kingdom's historical narratives and cultural heritage.

Celebrating 300 years of history, attendees can expect traditional crafts, cultural stories, interactive displays, and authentic Saudi culinary delights, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
