Many Iranian MP's have been ridiculed and mocked for their behaviour at President Hassan Rouhani's inauguration ceremony on Saturday.
Federica Moghernini looks somewhat overwhelmed by the number of men fighting to take selfies with her. (Twitter)
Judging by the reactions of the MP's in this photo you would have thought Scarlett Johannson just walked into the room...

People are speculating whether this reaction was as a result of Miss Mogherini being blonde and female? Or were was the attention down to her political stature? Considering many high ranking officials were present at the ceremony from all over the world, including a political representative from North Korea, we would hazard a guess for the former.

During the ceremony, President Rouhani swore to guard the constitution as he starts his second term in office.
Newspapers in Iran have reported the incident as a 'selfie scandal', stating that the event has made the nation 'sick' and disgusted.
