A 15-year-old Pakistani boy cut off his own hand after believing he had committed blasphemy, AFP reports.
The young man, identified as Mohammad Anwar was attending a speech by an imam who asked the crowd whom among them had stopped praying.
After allegedly misunderstanding the question, Anwar raised his hand, and was immediately accused of blasphemy.
He went home, cut off his own hand, and presented it to the imam on a plate.
His family and neighbors celebrated his act of sacrifice with great pride.
