A Syrian graffiti artist is showing his solidarity with the people of the blockaded Gaza Strip by spray-painting pro-Gaza slogans and images on the ruins of opposition-held Idlib.

Aziz al-Asmar, 35, from Idlib’s Binnish district, spray-paints his art on structures that have been damaged -- or completely leveled -- by regime bombardments.

“The cruelty and massacres that the Palestinians have endured for the last 70 years are like what the Syrians have suffered over the past seven years,” al-Asmar said.

Since Mar. 30, more than 110 Palestinian protesters have been martyred near the Gaza-Israel security fence -- and thousands more injured -- by Israeli army gunfire.
