Cat lovers will be pleased to know the growing trend for having a coffee while petting furry felines in a cafe has now pawsitively hit the Middle East.
Saudi-born sisters Allaa and Iman Ahmed have been given the go-ahead to open the UAE’s first cat cafe, according to The National.
“I’m just combining my obsession with cats with my desire to be a businesswoman,” Iman, 23, told the paper. “I think it’ll be a hit with residents who adore cats but can’t keep one because of family members who are allergic or disapprove… This is where they’ll come to fulfil that want.”
The UAE has its fair share of stray cats along with cat fans. The cafe could turn out to be the next Great Catsby!
