Two men suspected of breaking into Al Raii Hospital and robbing its financial office have been arrested in Sidon, the Internal Security Forces said Tuesday.

The break-in took place Monday in Sidon's Ghazieh. The two men allegedly climbed into the building and stole nearly LL10 million ($6,564m) from two safes in the office, an ISF statement said.

After intensive investigations, the ISF were able to narrow down the potential suspects to Lebanese nationals M.Gh., born in 1990, and H.Gh., born in 1993, and immediately sent a unit to raid their homes.

M.Gh. and H.Gh. were both arrested after the large sum of stolen cash was found at their residence. The two disposed safes were also found in the immediate area.

The two allegedly admitted to the accusations and were referred to the judiciary for further investigation.
