A Lebanese man in his early thirties was Monday found dead holding a love letter in the north Lebanon town of Ajdabra, a source said.
The man, identified as Wissam Lattouf, was found with a gunshot wound to the head and a hunting rifle by his side. “It's been identified as a suicide and he had his identification card around his neck. He shot himself under a statue of the Virgin Mary,” the source said.
The source added that a letter was in Lattouf’s hand “declaring his love for a woman.” Civil Defense volunteers transferred the body to a nearby hospital.
