In a video, Rabie Shehade, a self-claimed ISIS militant nicknamed “the Palestinian slayer”, declared his groups relish not only for killing and beheading, but also for “drinking blood”.
Ex mechanical engineer student from Nazareth made this unnerving statement in a video recently posted online that has been making the rounds on the internet.
“I swear we are a people who love death for the sake of God just as you love to live. I swear we are a people who love drinking blood. We came to slaughter you,” he said in the video.
“We love dying for God as much as you love life,” he also said in the brief footage.
According to the correspondent, the 26-year-old Arab-Israeli militant studied mechanical engenieering at a college in Nazareth Illit-Yerzeel Tec hnological college in country’s Northern District with a predominantly Arab population, according to an Al Arabiya correspondent.
A high school friend of Shahade said earlier this week that he was “one of the best students in class and was at the top in almost every subject.” Shahade was “an all around good guy… He never hurt anyone and even had Jewish friends with whom he was in regular contact,” the friend added.
Shahade allegedly went to Turkey and crossed into Syria to join the moderate Free Syrian Army (FSA). But he later joined the radical IS.
He reportedly has a wife and a son, the two are said to be ‘shocked’ and are reluctant to talk about him openly.
