What else is attracting celebrities and business kings and queens besides all the gold in Dubai? Maybe they just want to get high.
Not only is Dubai home to the world’s most twisted tower and the world’s tallest commercial tower but it can now boast about having the “Tallest Block” in the world.
According to Emirates 24/7, Dubai Marina, a specific block in the city of Dubai, hosts 14 of the 20 tallest buildings in the UAE.
There are a few other “tallest” features in the city of Dubai. Want to stay in the world’s tallest hotel? JW Marriott Marquis is the place coming in at 355 meters. If a short stay is not enough for you, you can live in the world’s highest residential tower, Princess Tower. This homestay measures 414 meters.
Dubai is a sky rise haven with 1,881 tall buildings and more are on the way. There are 627 planned buildings and 355 already under construction. In close competition with China, Dubai is set up to pass the economic mogul with three more of the “tallest” buildings to be built right near the world’s current tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.
Almost all of the tallest buildings are located in the Middle East or Asia with only one “megatall” building under construction elsewhere. New York is patiently waiting to join the leagues of the “megatall” with its ONE World Trade Centre which will measure 540 meters once completed.
