Scott allegedly told police that he believed that flying a plane was nothing more than pushing buttons.

An 18-year-old man was caught in the cockpit of a jet and alleged he attempted to steal a commercial plane to go to a rap concert.

Zemarcuis Devon Scott jumped airport security at the Texarkana Regional Airport in Texarkana, Arkansas, and was found in the pilot seat of a twin-engine jet by police, MSN quoted Texarkana Gazette report. Airport security reportedly contacted police on around 2:30 am on July 4 stating a teenager jumped a fence and attempted to enter a twin-engine jet. Later, the man was reportedly recognized by two of the three reporting officers from previous encounters.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Scott allegedly told police that he believed that flying a plane was nothing more than pushing buttons and pulling levers, and that he was going to an out-of-state rap concert.

However, Scott was charged last week with commercial burglary and attempted theft of property with a value greater than $25,000, both felony offences punishable by three to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000, according to the Texarkana Gazette.

The teen is currently being held on $25,000 bail in the Miller County jail and is expected to appear in court later this month.
