DUBAL supports CIMA Global Business Challenge 2011

Reflecting the organization’s own quest to hold a position of leadership, Dubai Aluminium Company Limited “DUBAL” is a country sponsor of the annual Chartered Institute of Management Accountants’ “CIMA” Global Business Challenge “GBC” 2011 — an international competition designed to showcase the talent of young business leaders by providing tertiary students with opportunities to test the depth of their financial knowledge, try-out their business management skills, expand upon their competitive ability and even lead to internship options from leading organizations — thus revealing the business leaders of tomorrow.

In 2010, the CIMA GBC took place in twelve countries and attracted more than 5,700 students from more than 125 universities. This year, the contest is being held in 16 countries and has attracted undergraduates from a wide field of prestigious global universities. Some 75 universities have been targeted across the GCC alone. As a country sponsor of CIMA GBC 2011, DUBAL is thus helping to extend the Middle East CIMA Chapter and encourage greater participation from students within the GCC.

An entirely state-owned enterprise, DUBAL is committed to working with government and other bodies for the continuous economic and social development of the UAE, thereby ensuring meaningful and active engagement with local communities. Four senior managers and executives of DUBAL are currently CIMA members and benefit from the associated privileges.
