Dubai Ladies Club announces Cruise Show 2011

To welcome the arrival of the new fashion season, Dubai Ladies Club, a member of Dubai Women Establishment, will host a sizzling Cruise Fashion Show on Thursday, 26^th May, 2011 from 6pm - 8pm. Highlighting the latest trends in summer wear, The "Cruise Show 2011" will showcase independent, local designers debuting their 2011 Cruise/Resort collection on the catwalk. This event is free for Dubai Ladies Club members and non-members and is open to ladies and children only.

Fatima Al Hammadi, Events Manager of Dubai Ladies Club said, “We are pleased to introduce a new social program to our calendar of events for 2011. The concept behind the show is to create a relaxed environment for fashionistas to enjoy a glamorous runway show and have the opportunity to place orders and interact with the designers directly. Fashion is everywhere in Dubai – and is mission is to bring it to the forefront of people’s minds.”

Since its inception in 2003, Dubai Ladies Club has consistently worked towards improving the quality of life of women living in the UAE through in-house events, facilities and pilot projects. The events span the fields of art, culture, fitness and educational seminars; to open avenues for women to channelize their strengths and contribute effectively to the social and economic progress of the UAE. The club has initiated and/or participated in a variety of Events such as Oriental Red Carpet Emerging Designer Contest & Fashion Show, Complete Woman Program, Art Exchange Program, L’Officiel Arab Woman of the Year Awards and many more.

In an effort to support home grown local fashion talents, The Cruise Show at Dubai Ladies Club is inviting locally based clothing designers, boutiques, and local jewellers an unmissable opportunity to showcase their designs to a target audience. Boutique and specialty fashion buyers covering the designer to high-priced fashion market, fashion representatives, selected VIP's, socialites and corporate sponsors are also sure to enjoy these events.

Fatima Al Hammadi added, “The Cruise Show is an opportunity for emerging local designers to showcase their creative skills and experience the electric energy of a major runway production. I encourage all interested ladies and gentlemen to use our event as an opportunity to raise their profile in front of boutique buyers and high profile ladies of the community.”

Designer participation packages begin from AED 4,000 inclusive of hair, make-up and provision of professional models during the show. Each designer will have the opportunity to fashion feature 15 pieces. Deadline for registrations is Monday, 22^nd May 2011.
