Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC), has been awarded a contract to supply its Cooline air conditioning solutions for YKA Almoayyed Tower, the tallest building in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The components of the Cooline solution, ZAC's international flagship brand, includes the supply of Chilled Water Fan Coil Units and Chilled Water Air Handling Units, which provide a capacity of 2,100 Tr creating a year-round temperature controlled climate throughout the 47-storey structure, which stands more than 200 meters in height.
The efficiency of the cooling system is assured by splitting the HVAC system into two vertical halves and by utilizing a primary, secondary and tertiary pump system with plate type heat exchangers. A special ducting system has also been installed in the tower and for the first time in Bahrain, this comprises pre-insulated polyisocyanurate rather than conventional galvanized iron ducting.
ZAC was founded in 1974 as one of the first air conditioning business in Saudi Arabia and is one of three sector businesses of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (ZIIC). It designs, manufactures, tests, markets and services a variety of air conditioning products, which range from compact room air conditioners and mini splits to large scale central air conditioners, chillers and air handling units for highly specialized applications.
ZAC is also involved in the production of branded air conditioners for leading international manufacturers under an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement. It operates a joint venture with General Electric, called Middle East Air Conditioners. — (menareport.com)
